During a helicopter flight from Santo Domingo to Punta Cana, Natasha Despotovic (New Perspectives project director) was overcome by the beauty of the varied landscapes unfolding way beneath her. Before long, the idea of the book was born, and internationally acclaimed photographer, Anna Casale was Natasha's first pick to help her capture those precious images.
Born in Colmar, France, Anna Casale, found the country of the Dominican Republic to be a never-ending source of wonders. Established in Puerto Plata for over 20 years, she specializes in tourist and aerial photography. Her work appears in numerous tourist publications and guide maps, some as prestigious as the “National Geographic”.
In June 2009 the photos of the book were exhibited at an Expo in Santo Domingo's Independence Park and in July the same Expo was shown in Santiago.
